Mobile comms testing moves to new buildingCetecom has moved its administration and mobile communications testing laboratory to a brand-new building. After a construction period of around a year, the Cetecom headquarters in Essen (Germany) has moved its administration and mobile communications testing laboratory to a brand-new building. Cetecom's parent company RWTUV has invested approximately Eur 3.0 million for the new premises with 1600m2 floor space for modern offices and cutting-edge technical facilities. The construction of the building is tailored to the specific needs of Cetecom and its customers and features short distances: ten large shielded rooms which have been constructed according to the latest technical expertise in mobile communications testing and several customer rooms are located in a special service area on two superposed floors. This service area is also directly connected to Cetecom's electromagnetic compatibility testing laboratory that has been rebuilt and upgraded according to the latest state-of-the-art in autumn 2005. The new shielded rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with fully automatic electrical doors. An electronic access control system guarantees that only authorised persons can enter these testing facilities. Thanks to the same security system privacy and confidentiality are also guaranteed for the customer rooms which provide a modern office working place equipped with internet access and a relaxing area equipped with television to Cetecom's customers. Visitors of the Cetecom headquarters in Essen will have the same good transport connection to Dusseldorf airport as the new building is located in the direct neighbourhood of the former headquarters alongside Cetecom's electromagnetic compatibility testing laboratory. |
