Mobile WiMAX testing explained online

Agilent Technologies has released an on-demand e-seminar and toolkit CD for fixed 802.16-2004 and mobile 802.16e-2005 WiMAX applications. Further complementing Agilent's broad offering of WiMAX solutions, these resources are designed to help today's engineers more efficiently and effectively test and verify WiMAX designs and radios. Agilent's 'Testing Mobile WiMAX radios from precertification through manufacturing' e-seminar is specifically targeted at WiMAX chipset developers and reference designers and integrators.

Participants learn about the radio tests that can be tackled using a standard vector signal analyser and generator, including those specified in the WiMAX radio conformance test (RCT) document.

The e-seminar also provides insight into the test objectives and configuration needed to evaluate devices during design validation, integration and initial manufacturing.

The Agilent WiMAX toolkit CD gives engineers information needed to simulate, troubleshoot and verify designs for 802.16-2004 and 802.16 OFDMA applications.

'Agilent stands as a true innovator and leader in standard-compliant 802.16 design and test tools, providing solutions for testing fixed and mobile WiMAX throughout the entire WiMAX lifecycle', said Guy Sene, Vice President and General Manager of Agilent's Signal Analysis Division.

'We were first to provide standard-compliant 802.16 design and test tools for fixed and mobile WiMAX applications, and the first to enable RF and baseband engineers working at the 802.16-1004 PHY layer to create, analyse and troubleshoot signals'.

'That innovation and leadership continues today as we work to provide engineers with the resources they need to efficiently and effectively create the next generation of communication based on WiMAX'
