Test services take in video telephony

In July 2006, the Global Certification Forum (GCF) added conformance testing for the 3G-324M video telephony application to the application enabler (AE) test requirements as a further precondition for handset certification. The appropriate test cases have been successfully validated by Cetecom's Validation Competence Centre. It is not only the GCF requires these conformance tests; the PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB) has also added them to its catalogue of requirements.

According to its strategy to be one step ahead, Cetecom has already invested in a new video telephony test platform at an early stage.

The new IXIA IxMobile test system complements the existing AE testing capacities at Cetecom's mobile communications test centre in Feldkirchen (near Munich) and enables Cetecom to offer the complete range of application enabler test services as required for GCF and PTCRB certification.
